The Thames Valley and Surrey Secure Data Environment (TVS SDE) is part of the R&D Clinical Informatics Team, and is hosted by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Our work brings together people with a variety of skills and experience. These include data engineering and analysis, software development, cloud technologies, cyber security, information governance, project and programme management, service design and delivery, communications, and stakeholder engagement. Whatever the role, our team members contribute to a shared goal: making health data available for approved uses within a secure, well-governed environment.

Access Process Manager (Band 7):
We are seeking an experienced and organised individual to join the Thames Valley and Surrey (TVS) Secure Data Environment (SDE) Programme, hosted by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH), to lead access-related operational processes across the programme.
The TVS SDE manages access to routinely collected health and care data and associated services for approved research and planning purposes. The access service guides applicants from their initial enquiry through to the safe, lawful, and well-governed use of data within the environment, ensuring a consistent and transparent process for all stakeholders. Working with a high degree of independence, the successful candidate will take ownership of the delivery and continuous improvement of the access service, being accountable for activities from enquiry and triage through to review, decision tracking, fulfilment, onboarding, active use, and closure.
